OUR PASTOR
The Rev. Dr. Lorenzo C. Williamson, started in ministry here in the United States after
migrating from Jamaica where he lead in youth fellowship in the Phillippo Baptist Church, Spanish Town St Catherine. There he held the office of Vice President for the Youth Division. respectively He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ from a tender age of seventeen years old (17). Upon migrating into the United States of America he spent a year with the Maranatha Baptist Church in Brooklyn under the leadership of Rev. Peter Allen. Following that stint he became a part of the New Life Tabernacle, during this time he taught the Sunday School, became the Men’s President and created the Annual Symposium before he moved on after six years at New Life Tabernacle to The New Deeper Life Outreach Ministries in August 2000. Following that period he spent a short period under the leadership of Rev. Dennis A. Dillon at Brooklyn Christian Center as an Associate Minister with responsibility for “Congregational Care” and “Pulpit Protocol”.
In that transition, an opportunity was created at Bethel Worship Center, where he served as the Assistant Minister, in charge of Christian Education, Teaching and Strategic Development. During this time at Bethel he formed and founded successfully “New Deeper Life Community Development Corporation” under which the Educational Scholarship Foundation Fund, (ESFF), was launched. Through this channel several scholarships were given within the local Brooklyn community. The Ministry grew out of which a tremendous educational outreach was implemented into after school and summer camp. The project received “Proclamations” from the Brooklyn Borough President and State Senator, Marty Markowitz and John Sampson respectively. In addition to all of the above responsibilities Dr. Williamson is very actively involved in the community: he ran a tutorial center, lectured in the school of Continuing Education, Medgar Evers College, Adjunct Instructor, Professor at Ark International Bible College, in Homiletics, Hermeneutics, Biblical Surveys and Creation Science, during which period he developed a two (2) credit course in “The Translation Philosophy of the Bible”.
He sits on a number of Boards, Clergy Liaison with the 67th Precinct, sits on the
Education Committee at Better Brooklyn Learning Center, The Education Board of
Mica Institute, a member of Churches United to Save & Healed, (CUSH), Caribbean American Clergy Leadership Coalition, (CACLC). The Martin Luther King Awards from Caribbean Images and was a 2003 Visionary, Member of the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI). He was elected and appointed to the New York Citi Works, board in 2012 by chairman Preston H. king.
The name of the church was changed in 2009 after Dr. Williamson heard from the Lord and the New Deeper Life Tabernacle, became the Mission arm of the Vision and The Church was renamed Leading By Design Tabernacle International Inc. Dr. Williamson also travelled extensively to several countries doing business and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He developed along with the down state hospital alongside a non for profit groups and travelled to Grenada twice and St. Vincent on medical missions providing and assisting with the ministering of the people, the focus of those missions was on foot diseases and general medical needs. He also went to Canada, Cayman Island, Barbados and Jamaica West Indies.
The recipient of Diploma in Construction Engineering Management (UTECH) and A Diploma in Applied Industrial Relations Management from the University of the West Indies, (UWI). A Graduate of Medgar Evers College, (MEC) of the City University of New York in Environmental Science with a double minor in Pure Mathematic and Physics. He also hold a degree from Trinity International University in Sacred Theology and Doctor of Ministry from Friends International University,(FIU). Rev. Dr. Williamson is the recipient of numerous awards in Science Research from Institute of Climate and Planet (ICP), Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS). The Minority University Science Planetary Interdisciplinary Network (MUSPIN) awarded him 1st Prize in the graduate category representing Medgar Evers College (CUNY) competing against fifty, (50) Higher Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) for outstanding research work in Atmospheric Sciences, focus on “global warming” & “green house effect.” He also founded the (MEC) Mathematics Society and Lead the University Conference to Michigan State An Harbor University. He is the recipient of over fifteen awards in Mathematics and was elected was Senior Class President 2001 at commencement exercise, also Day Vice President of (MEC) Student Senate. It is note worthy that Dr. Williamson advocated along side faculty and administration and was effective in the restoring of the college status by Middle State Accreditation (MSA) to the status as a senior college. The recipient of the Martin Luther King’s Awards from Caribbean Images, Brooklyn Tenants Scholarships in Lead Licensing & Certification University of Massachusetts ( UMASS). One of his corner stone success is: the founder and host of the New Deeper Life Community Empowerment Awards Banquet- called “The Legacy Awards” for eight consecutive years reaching over (102) Honorees: Dr. Evelyn Castro, Pastor Dennis Dillon, the likes of Senator Hillary Clinton, Eric Adams, the past Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, the late Councilman James Davis, in six endeavors; Government, Education, Business, Community Affairs, Pastoral Leadership & Legal Affairs.
Presently, the Co- Founder of Global Youth Network (GYN), managing partner Global Millennium Consultants and, Majoris Acquisition LLC. He Was appointed Executive Vice President of Ebony Business Services, in Westchester County, in business and real estate. An anointed servant leadership coach, preacher, teacher, whose sermons are profoundly practical and applicable to the common man’s daily experience, and in the lives of the hearers. A uniquely qualified and directed son who is designated and awaits his apostolic Consecration in 2015. He is indeed grateful to the many mentors over the years
